Biography

 Philippa Bevan is a founding Director of Accelerate Associates, a consultancy     specialising in market research and strategic marketing for STEM markets with expertise in medical technology and the life sciences.

 Philippa has extensive experience in marketing strategy and communications,   supporting organisations that develop and supply scientific and technical   products, particularly in pathology and laboratory medicine. She also oversees market research projects and feasibility studies that help universities, research organisations and companies assess the commercial potential and routes to market for emerging research.

Academically trained in microbiology and virology, Philippa has a particular interest in infectious diseases and antimicrobial resistance. She joined the BSMT Committee in 2026 and looks forward to supporting the Society's activities.
